--------------------------------------------------------------------- The first step you take is your judgement
You don't have to worry about your pace
Just run
Ah, your passion is concentrated
Spinning round and round
At the end
With what will you fill
The one shadow of hope?

Another sketch i did with the new tablet, to get accustomed to it and all. I think he looks AKFG-ish. And it's a partial sketch, sorry, don't have time for much else...
I can't remember from where the texture and the swirly brushes are, can anyone help me so i can give the right credit?
Odee nee~chan beat me to it, so what I write will be mearly the same thing. However: nice lokoking dude, great facial expression. realy like the natural colours and the textures.

Ooo, I would like that fancy brush as well, if you ever find it. >>. I usually make my own brushes, though. If you've never done that, you should try it- it's usually the easiest and funnest way to get exactly what you want. I made all the blood/gore brushes for that Silent Hill picture I did, and I was very proud of the result.
A trick with hair that makes it look more natural is to put down a blob of color in the vague shape of the hair, and then take a small smudge tool at about 80%, more or less for longer or shorter hair. You can pull out a whole bunch of individual strands that look really neat once you're done, and you can apply more layers of color to get a pretty authentic look.
The smudge tool is always my best friend with CGing. I really wish I had a tablet, though, looking at this. I haven't drawn anything really nice in a while. It makes me sad. T_T
Great job! I especially like the warm blobs of color around the shoulders. ^^. I have this big icky soft spot for warm colors and victorian swirly pattern things, so this picture is pure love.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More

I love the choice of colors and the contrast between his skin and the tones you used for the background. Also, the details are pretty
